The sensors you never see
Sensative, from Lund in Sweden, makes Strips: wireless sensors just 3 mm thin that disappear between a door and its frame, under a desk or along a pipe, and run up to ten years on the built-in battery. The range covers open/close, leak, climate and presence over LoRaWAN or Z-Wave, with Yggio — an open, FIWARE-compliant integration platform — above it. We supply and deploy the range in the UK as part of the five-layer stack.

Strips +Guard
Magnetic open/close and temperature in an IP67 strip that mounts invisibly between door and frame, with tamper alert.
Strips +Drip
Water-leak detection and temperature, IP67 — laid under pipes, tanks and appliances. An oil-leak variant is available.
Strips +Comfort
Temperature to ±0.2 °C, humidity and ambient light for indoor climate, comfort and energy optimisation.
Strips Presence
Anonymous active-IR presence for desk and space occupancy, with open/close and temperature in the same strip.
Strips began as an open-innovation idea in 2013: a sensor thin enough to vanish into the window it protects. At 3 mm and 11 g, it fits where boxes cannot, sticks on with adhesive, needs no wiring, and reports over LoRaWAN for up to ten kilometres — for up to ten years on one battery. The architect never has to see it.
Above the sensors sits Yggio, Sensative's Digitalization infrastructure Management System: an open, FIWARE-compliant layer that normalises every device and legacy system — LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, Z-Wave, Zigbee, M-Bus, Modbus, BACnet — into a single API, with rules, time-series data and multi-organisation access control built in.
