Questions about kits

Is a kit cheaper than buying the parts one by one?

No. A kit is the same parts at their normal shop prices, and the total on each kit page is the sum of those prices. What you get is a combination we have checked for the job, the right gateway for the site, and the whole list in your basket in one click.

Do the kits include a dashboard or a subscription?

No subscription is included or required to start. Every gateway in these kits runs its own LoRaWAN network server and can forward readings over MQTT, and it also connects to Milesight's own platform, The Things Stack, ChirpStack or AWS IoT Core if you prefer. The UG63 network server handles up to 20 devices, so larger kits use a bigger gateway.

How long does delivery take?

Kits are typically dispatched within 14 working days of cleared payment. UK delivery is one flat charge of £14.25 ex VAT per order, however many parts are in it. Delivery to Europe is £45.00.

Can a kit be changed for my site?

Yes. Every part is sold on its own, so you can change any quantity in the basket. If you would rather an engineer checked the kit against your floor plan first, send it as a quote from the kit page and you will have an answer within one working day.

Which radio frequency are the parts?

Every sensor and gateway in these kits is the 868 MHz version for the UK and Europe. The US 915 MHz versions will not work with a UK gateway.
