Description
UG56 is a robust 8-channel indoor LoRaWAN ® gateway. Adopting SX1302 chip and high-performance quad-core CPU, UG56 supports connection with more than 2000 nodes.
UG56 has line of sight up to 15 km and can cover about 2 km in urbanized environment, which is ideally suited to smart building, smart industries and many other indoor applications.
UG56 supports not only multiple back-haul backups with Ethernet, Wi-Fi and cellular, but also has integrated mainstream network servers (such as The Things Stack, ChirpStack, etc.), built-in network server and Milesight Development Platform for easy

Which version do I need?
Cellular is an optional build: the 4G LTE modem and magnetic cellular antenna are supplied on the cellular version only. The datasheet also notes DIN rail mounting is available on new hardware devices only, so confirm before ordering if you need it. The radio band group is fixed at manufacture: UK sites need the -868M build, which then covers EU868, IN865 and RU864.

Frequency band
Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.
The same UG56 unit also covers IN865 and RU864. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.
CN470, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.
