Description
Milesight mini industrial router UR41(L) supports 4G connection, and also satisfies multi-type local data access requirements through rich industrial interfaces, including DI, DO, RS232 or RS485.
UR41(L) make it easy for forming a reliable, secure, and maintainable solution through its built-in watchdog and secure VPN tunnels, realizing stable data transmission and
high-speed mobile connectivity. With a compact size and industry-grade design, UR41(L) is more flexible in a variety of installation and deployment scenarios.
UR41(L) adopts a power-saving design with both idle mode and standby mode for providing users with an energy-saving option. UR41(L) could be managed and monitored remotely by Milesight DeviceHub, UR41(L) could be applied in wide scenarios including vending machines, robots, industrial equipment, and other IoT applications with optimal cost and performance.

Which version do I need?
The datasheet covers two models. UR41 is the CAT 4 build with WCDMA/GSM fallback, GNSS and multi-APN support, approved CE, CE (RED) and FCC. UR41L is the lower-cost CAT 1 build with no GNSS and no multi-APN, approved CE and CE (RED) only. Choose UR41 where you need CAT 4 throughput, location data, or more than one APN at once.

What SIM does it take?
One Nano SIM (4FF). LTE transmit power is Class 3 (23 dBm ± 2 dB) and the cellular antenna uses a 50 Ω SMA connector.
Can it act as a Modbus gateway?
Yes. The serial port supports Modbus TCP/RTU client and Modbus gateway mode (Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP), plus transparent TCP/UDP/MQTT and DLMS client.
How is it powered and how much does it draw?
5-24 VDC through the 2-pin terminal block, or 5 V/1 A over USB Type-C. At 12 V it draws 6.3 mA in standby mode, 78 mA idle and 226 mA on a data link.
