PS51x series LoRaWAN® Solenoid Valve
Controller is a device used to remotely
control DC latching solenoid valves. It
contains 2 solenoid interfaces and 2 GPIO
interfaces, which can be easily controlled
locally or remotely.
Besides ultra-low-power LoRaWAN®
technology, 51x series also provides built-in
solar panel or a high-capacity battery power
supply for long-term operation.
For outdoor applications, it has an IP67-
rated enclosure and M12 connectors to
protect from water and dust under harsh
environments.

Which version do I need?
The -868M suffix denotes EU868, the correct LoRaWAN band for the UK, at 16dBm Tx power; the datasheet also lists CN470/IN865/RU864/US915/AU915/KR920/AS923-1&2&3&4. The datasheet's own hardware variants are UC512, UC512(EA), UC512(AI) and UC512(EA-AI): EA is the external-antenna version with a 1 × 50 Ω SMA female connector (weight 521 g vs 479 g for the internal-antenna version), and the pressure collection interface is flagged "AI Version Only". An unsuffixed UC512 is therefore the internal-antenna version without the pressure input.

Frequency band
Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.
The same UC512-DI unit also covers IN865 and RU864. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.
CN470, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.

What kind of valves does the UC512 drive?
It has two solenoid interfaces on M12 A-coded male connectors for 2-wire DC 12V latching solenoids, supplied with a 1.5 m cable by default, and is opened and closed by mobile app locally, by remote command, by multicast for bulk control, or by local rules that keep working without a network.
Does the UC512 have a solar panel?
No. The datasheet gives the UC512's power supply as 3 × 9000 mAh replaceable ER26500 Li-SOCl2 batteries. The embedded 6V/1.7W solar panel, 2 × 2550 mAh ICR18650 rechargeable batteries and DC 5-24 V input are listed in the UC511 column only.
Which LoRaWAN classes does the UC512 support and how long do the batteries last?
OTAA/ABP Class A and Class B. At a 20-minute interval with the valve operated four times per day at 25°C, Class A gives over 10 years and Class B around 6.2 years at SF7 or 5.8 years at SF10. The UC511 adds Class C and Class C to B.
Can the UC512 measure water pressure?
Yes, on the AI version, which adds an M12 A-coded male pressure collection interface. The UC512 supports the PS02 sensor: gauge pressure 0~1600 kPa (16 Bar), ±0.5% FS accuracy, 1 kPa resolution, G 1/2" process connection and a 3 m cable. The UC511 supports PS02 and PS03.
Is the UC512 suitable for outdoor and buried installations?
It is rated IP68 (1 m underwater for 7 days) with M12 waterproof connectors, operates from -30°C to 70°C at 0~95% non-condensing humidity, and mounts to a wall or pole.
