Do these devices send video?

The AI counting sensors in this range are designed to process on the device and report counts and events rather than a continuous video stream. Behaviour differs by model and configuration, so if the installation is in a privacy-sensitive area, confirm the exact behaviour on that model's datasheet before you specify it and keep it on file for your DPIA.

ToF or RGB AI - which should I choose?

Time-of-flight sensors measure depth rather than capture an image, which makes them easier to justify in privacy-sensitive areas and less sensitive to lighting. RGB AI sensors can classify more, but bring a camera into a space where a camera may not be welcome. Decide the privacy question first; accuracy rarely decides it.

What mounting height do these need?

Each model states a mounting height range and the coverage area that results. Coverage shrinks quickly outside the intended range, so plan the sensor count from the coverage figure at your actual ceiling height, not from floor area.

Is there a licence or subscription fee?

No. The hardware is bought outright from us and there is no per-sensor monthly fee. If you want a hosted dashboard you can buy one separately - that is your choice of platform, not a condition of the hardware.

How do these connect - PoE or LoRaWAN?

It varies by model. Some AI counting sensors are PoE-powered and networked over Ethernet; others report over LoRaWAN and need a gateway. Check the connectivity row in the spec table, because it determines whether you need cabling or a gateway.

What is the difference between people counting and occupancy monitoring?

People counting measures flow through a line - how many entered and left. Occupancy monitoring measures state - whether this desk, room or zone is in use right now. They need different sensors and answer different questions, and buying the wrong one is the most common mistake in this category.
