Most "AI camera" searches land on CCTV. This is not that. The devices here are AIoT sensors that happen to use optics. A time-of-flight counter builds a depth map, counts the shapes moving through it and throws the frame away. A stereo-vision counter does the same with two lenses. Nothing identifiable is stored or transmitted, which is precisely why they get signed off in workplaces, schools, healthcare sites and public buildings where a conventional camera would not.
Use a counter when you need to know how many people passed. Use an occupancy sensor when you need to know whether a space is in use. Use a sensing camera when you need to see a thing in a remote place without driving to it.
Time-of-flight and stereo vision measure depth rather than record a picture. They count bodies to within a fraction of a percent and produce no identifiable image, which is what makes them straightforward under GDPR in a workplace, a school or a public building.

No, and the distinction matters. Milesight has a separate IP CCTV division, and that is what most search results for "Milesight camera" return. The range on this page is AIoT: time-of-flight, stereo vision and thermopile devices that count and measure rather than record.
The ToF and stereo-vision counters do not. They build a depth map and count the shapes in it, then discard the frame. Nothing identifiable leaves the device, which is why they suit workplaces, schools and public buildings where a camera would be resisted. The thermopile counters read heat, not images. If you need a picture, that is the sensing camera range.
The stereo-vision and second-generation ToF counters are rated up to 99.8% for bi-directional counting, the AI workplace sensor up to 98%, and the PIR-plus-RGB occupancy sensor up to 95%. Real accuracy depends on mounting height, coverage overlap and how people move through the space, which is why we ask for a ceiling height and a door width before recommending one.
For the LoRaWAN devices, yes, unless the site already has coverage. The VS121 also has an Ethernet version if you would rather use existing structured cabling. Tell us what the site already has and we will confirm before you order.
