TS201 vs TS602: LoRaWAN or cellular temperature probe sensor?
Short answer: Both put the measurement in a probe on a cable, so the electronics can stay outside a fridge, freezer or process. The TS201 is a LoRaWAN sensor with a DS18B20 or temperature and humidity probe reading -40°C to 125°C. The TS602 is an LTE Cat.1 sensor with an OLED screen and an M12 connector that takes PT100, DS18B20 or temperature and humidity probes, including a low temperature PT100 down to -200°C and an industrial PT100 up to 500°C. The network and the probe range decide it.
Gateway or SIM?
Choose the TS201 for several fridges, freezers or cold rooms on one site with a LoRaWAN gateway. It is rated around 8.2 to 9 years at SF7 on EU868 with a 10 minute interval, depending on probe version, and stores 4,000 entries.
Choose the TS602 for a single location with no gateway, such as a vehicle or a remote store, or when you need a probe range the TS201 does not cover. It reports over TCP, UDP, MQTT, AWS or the Milesight Development Platform and stores 5,000 entries.
Probes and range
The TS201 reads -40°C to 125°C. With the DS18B20 probe, accuracy is ±0.5°C between -10°C and 85°C; with the CMOSens probe it is ±0.2°C between 0°C and 60°C and humidity is added. The probe is 50 mm of stainless steel on a 1.5 m cable.
The TS602’s optional probes include a regular Class B PT100 from -40°C to 125°C, a Class A PT100 for food applications to ±0.4°C, a Class A low temperature PT100 from -200°C to 50°C, a Class A industrial PT100 from -50°C to 500°C, a DS18B20 probe and a temperature and humidity probe.
Screen, extras and battery
The TS602 has a 0.96-inch OLED screen, a light sensor, tilt detection and base station positioning, and is rated around 4.2 years over MQTT or TCP at 6 reports a day. The TS201 has no screen. The TS201 housing is rated from -30°C to 55°C, and the TS602 from -35°C to 70°C.

Does the TS602 need a gateway?
No. It reports over LTE Cat.1 with a Nano SIM. The TS201 needs a LoRaWAN gateway in range.
Does the TS201 have a screen?
No. The TS602 has a 0.96-inch OLED screen.
Can the TS201 measure humidity?
Yes, with the CMOSens temperature and humidity probe version, which reads 0 to 100% RH.
