The EHG6410 model features 8 x 10/100/1000BASE-T(X), which supports a port configuration mix of up to 8 x non-PoE ports and either 4 x or 8 x PoE ports, as well as either an additional 2 x 100 BASE-FX / 1000 BASE-X ports with SFP slots, totaling 10 x ports altogether.

Supporting a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 75°C and being compliant with essential sections of UL/CB(IEC) 62368-1, and MIL-STD-810F, this switch series is a powerful compact device that can perform in various environments under a variety of conditions, such as power input voltage, shock, drop and vibration.

PoE Voltage Booster Option
As part of its compact design, this switch series is available with an optional voltage booster for PoE end devices. Available on the 24V models, the PoE Voltage Boost raises the input voltage of power inputs from as low as 12V to provide Power over Ethernet to end devices. This removes the need for additional, separate power inputs, which can often be costly and space-consuming.

Which version do I need?

This page covers the EHG6410 series. ATOP's brochure lists six codes that differ in PoE count and SFP type: EHG6410-2SFP and EHG6410-2SFP-D (no PoE), EHG6410-4PoE-2SFP-24V and EHG6410-4PoE-2SFP-D-24V (4 × PoE plus 4 × non-PoE), and EHG6410-8PoE-2SFP-24V and EHG6410-8PoE-2SFP-D-24V (8 × PoE). The -D suffix gives dual-speed 100/1000 Mbps SFP slots, needed if the fibre link is 100BASE-FX; codes without -D have Gigabit SFP slots. All PoE codes include the 12/24 VDC PoE booster. What is the port mix on the EHG6410?

Eight 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) RJ45 ports plus 2 × SFP slots, 10 ports in total. Depending on the ordering code, 0, 4 or 8 of the copper ports are PoE.

Which SFP speeds are supported?

Codes ending -2SFP have Gigabit SFP slots. Codes with -2SFP-D have dual-speed SFP slots of 100/1000 Mbps, so use a -D code if the fibre link is 100BASE-FX.

What is the PoE budget and how does the booster work?

On -24V models the booster raises a supply as low as 12 V to deliver PoE, removing the need for a separate 48 V supply. ATOP quotes up to 60 W of PoE from a 12 V input, or up to 120 W with 24 VDC input and above.

What is the difference between the EHG6410 and the EHG6408?

The EHG6410 adds 2 × SFP fibre slots to the same 8 Gigabit RJ45 ports, PoE options and 54 × 113 × 145 mm housing. The EHG6408 is copper only.

What is the difference between the EHG6410 and the EHG6510?

The EHG6510 has a similar 8 RJ45 plus 2 SFP port mix but is lite-managed, with a web interface, QoS, VLAN, RSTP, SNMP and Modbus TCP. The EHG6410 is unmanaged and needs no configuration.
