The ATOP EHG6508 is a lite-managed industrial Gigabit switch with 8 × 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) RJ45 ports, ordered with 0, 4 or 8 PoE ports. A web interface sets up QoS, VLAN and RSTP link redundancy, and -24V models include a PoE booster that powers devices from inputs as low as 12 V. Description
This Lite-Managed 24V PoE Gigabit Switch series is available in two models with different port numbers. The EHG6508 model features 8 x 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) ports, of which 0, 4 or 8 are PoE ports.

Compact: Slim, flat, and streamlined, this switch series is ideal for demanding industrial applications which require compact solutions to deliver network performance.
Rugged: Supporting a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +75°C, and compliant with essential sections of UL/CB(IEC) 62368-1 and MIL-STD-810F, this series can perform under a variety of conditions such as extreme weather, shock, drop, vibration and wide voltage input ranges.
PoE Booster: As part of its compact design, 24V models offer an optional voltage booster function, which allows input voltages from as low as 12V to provide Power over Ethernet to end devices. This removes the need for additional, separate power inputs, which can often be costly and space-consuming.
Web Configuration: The EHG6508 Series is configured with a user-friendly web-based UI. A quick minute is all you need to set up Quality of Service (QoS), Virtual LAN (VLAN) and link redundancy in case of the unlikely event of a link failure.

Which version do I need?
This page covers the EHG6508 series. ATOP's brochure lists three codes: EHG6508 (8 × non-PoE RJ45), EHG6508-4PoE-24V (4 × PoE plus 4 × non-PoE RJ45, with 12/24 VDC PoE booster) and EHG6508-8PoE-24V (8 × PoE RJ45, with booster). All are copper only. Choose by how many PoE devices you need to power; for 2 × SFP fibre uplinks see the EHG6510, and for the same port options without management see the EHG6408.

How many ports and PoE ports does the EHG6508 have?
Eight 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) RJ45 ports, of which 0, 4 or 8 are PoE depending on the code (EHG6508, EHG6508-4PoE-24V, EHG6508-8PoE-24V). There are no SFP slots.
What can be configured through the web interface?
Quality of Service, VLANs and RSTP link redundancy, over HTTP or HTTPS. It can also be monitored over SNMPv1/v2c/v3 and Modbus TCP.
What power does it need, and how does the PoE booster work?
12-57 V on redundant inputs, with a relay output. On -24V models the booster provides PoE from input voltages as low as 12 V, removing the need for a separate 48 V supply.
What is the difference between the EHG6508 and the EHG6408?
They share the 8-port layout, PoE options, booster and 54 × 113 × 145 mm housing. The EHG6508 is lite-managed with QoS, VLAN, RSTP, SNMP and Modbus TCP; the EHG6408 is unmanaged.

The EHG6510 adds 2 × SFP fibre slots for 10 ports in total. The EHG6508 is copper only.

No. ATOP lists RSTP only for the EHG6500 family; ERPS and MRP rings are features of ATOP's fully managed switches.
