Description

EHG3305 is a slim, entry-level unmanaged switch with 5 RJ-45 ports and strict QoS packet prioritization according to 802.1p. Designed for industrial and especially for hazardous locations, it fits into small spaces in cabinets or between walls, and complies with CE, FCC and UL standards, while featuring a robust metal housing.
Redundant power inputs allow simultaneous connection to wide-range DC power sources, so in case one of the power inputs fail, the other live source automatically acts as a backup to provide power.

Which version do I need?

ATOP's documents list one orderable code, EHG3305, with no port or PoE variants. It is the Gigabit, metal-housed, wide-temperature member of ATOP's slim 5-port family: EHG3005 has the same Gigabit ports in plastic (0 to +60°C), and EH3305 is the Fast Ethernet version in the same metal housing. Choose EHG3305 when the devices need Gigabit and the enclosure is unheated or outdoors.

Typical applications for the EHG3305

  • Gigabit links for IP cameras and edge PCs in outdoor or unheated cabinets
  • Machine panels and control cabinets with very little DIN-rail space
  • Profinet cells that need prioritised traffic without switch configuration
  • Roadside, utility and water-site enclosures operating down to -40°C
  • Dual-fed DC panels using redundant 12-48 V supplies

EHG3305 — frequently asked questions

How many ports does the EHG3305 have?

Five 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) Gigabit RJ45 ports, with no fibre or PoE ports.

What is the difference between the EHG3305 and the EH3305?

They share the same 23 × 93 × 70 mm metal housing and -40 to +75°C rating. The EHG3305 has Gigabit 10/100/1000 ports, while the EH3305 has Fast Ethernet 10/100 ports.

What is the difference between the EHG3305 and the EHG3005?

Both have 5 Gigabit ports. The EHG3305 is metal and rated -40 to +75°C; the EHG3005 is plastic and rated 0 to +60°C.

What power input does it take?

12-48 V on redundant power inputs. If one source fails, the other takes over automatically.

Does it prioritise Profinet traffic?

It applies strict packet prioritisation according to IEEE 802.1p without any configuration, and ATOP lists the EHG3305 as Profinet CC-A.

Which approvals does it carry?

UL/EN/IEC (CB) 60950-1 and/or 62368-1, and it complies with CE, FCC and UL standards. ATOP's guide does not tick ATEX, UL Class I Div 2, E-Mark or EN 50155 for this model.
