Description
The EHG7306 is 6 Port PoE Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switches designed to work in mission critical environments such as mining and heavy industry. EHG7306 series support maximum 5 x 10/100/1000 Base-T(X) RJ45 ports, 1 x 100/1000 Base-F(x) SFP port. With its high performance and non-blocking switching capacity, EHG7306 is able to fulfill the increasing demand in industrial networking. Its PoE capability of 30W per port up to four ports simplifies the wiring in complex fields, where every cable is an added cost. The equipped terminal block provide dual redundant power inputs with Reverse Polarity Protection and relay output which allows field engineers to build up a fault alarm system. Its IP30 housing protection, wide operating temperature of -40 to 70°C and DIN-Rail mounting capacities are liable to do most industrial field applications.

Which version do I need?
The suffixes describe port and power options rather than regional frequency bands, so there is no separate UK version. EHG7306-1SFP (part 1P1EHG73060001G) is 5 x 1GTX RJ45 plus 1 x 100/1GFX SFP; EHG7306-4PoE-1SFP (1P1EHG73060002G) is the same with 4 PoE ports added. Choose EHG7305 if you need no fibre uplink, or EHG7307-2SFP for two SFP slots - the datasheet notes 1000 Base-X SFP is only supported in EHG7307. Wall-mount kit WMK-454-Black covers EHG7306.

How many ports does the EHG7306 have?

What speed does the SFP port run at, and can I fit a 1000Base-X module?
The datasheet lists the EHG7306 SFP as 1 x 100/1000 Mbps (100/1000 Base-F(x)). It states that 1000 Base-X SFP is only supported in EHG7307, so choose the EHG7307 if you specifically need a 1000Base-X SFP.
Does the EHG7306 supply PoE?
Only on the EHG7306-4PoE-1SFP ordering code, which provides up to four 802.3af or 802.3at ports at 30 W per port and 130 W maximum system consumption. The plain EHG7306-1SFP has no PoE. 802.3af output requires at least 43 VDC input and 802.3at at least 51 VDC.
Is it managed or unmanaged?
Unmanaged. The datasheet titles it an Industrial PoE Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch. It still supports 802.1Q/p QoS for prioritising critical packets such as PROFINET, 10K jumbo frames, 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and LLDP forwarding.
