The MB5202 is a compact 2-port industrial Modbus TCP/RTU/ASCII gateway. Both serial ports are software-selectable RS-232/RS-485/RS-422, and the Ethernet side is either one 10/100BASE-T(X) RJ-45 port or one 100BASE-FX SFP slot. The Modbus TCP server accepts 4 connections. Power is redundant 9-30 VDC terminal block plus 5 VDC DC jack, and operating temperature is -20°C to +70°C.

Five ordering variants: MB5202-DB (1P1MB520200001G, male DB9), MB5202-TB (1P1MB520200002G, terminal block), MB5202-SiS (1P1MB520200003G, 2kV isolation, terminal block), MB5202-SFP-DB (1P1MB520200004G) and MB5202-SFP-TB (1P1MB520200005G). The SFP variants take an AXFD-1314-0523 (155Mbps multi-mode, 2km) or AXFD-1314-0553 (155Mbps single-mode, 30km) transceiver.

Both are software-selectable between RS-232, RS-485 (2-wire and 4-wire) and RS-422. The first port is a full-function RS-232 DB9; the second is a standard RS-232/RS-485/RS-422 port.
