X1 Sensing Camera (SC541 / SC541-HL) is a battery-powered 1920 × 1080 still-picture camera that replaces manual inspection by sending JPEGs over MQTT. It is a close-range device: mounting distance is 10-20 cm with the PN:1020 lens or 5-10 cm with the PN:0510 super-close lens. SC541 uses Wi-Fi, SC541-HL uses Wi-Fi HaLow for longer sub-GHz range.

Which version do I need?
Two models are documented. SC541 is the Wi-Fi version: 2.4 GHz AP and STA, built-in antenna, 2 × AA alkaline (not supplied), up to 2 years, charcoal grey, 48 g. SC541-HL is the Wi-Fi HaLow version: 863.5~867.5 MHz or 902.5~927.5 MHz with an external SMB antenna, 2 × Li/FeS2 AA supplied, up to 3 years, black, 54 g; its Wi-Fi is configuration-only and it needs a Wi-Fi HaLow gateway. UK buyers take the 863.5~867.5 MHz build. Lens is ordered separately as PN:1020 or PN:0510.

Does it record video?
No. It captures 1920 × 1080 JPEG still pictures, triggered by scheduled capture (interval or timed), the alarm-in input, or the external button, and stores up to 40 pictures in about 3 MB of flash.
How does it send pictures?
Over MQTT. SC541 uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (AP and STA modes); SC541-HL uses Wi-Fi HaLow at 863.5~867.5 MHz or 902.5~927.5 MHz with Wi-Fi for configuration only. Both work with the Milesight AIoT Sensing Platform.
What batteries does it use and how long do they last?
SC541 takes 2 × AA alkaline cells, which are not supplied, and lasts up to 2 years. SC541-HL is supplied with 2 × Li/FeS2 AA cells (3000 mAh total) and lasts up to 3 years. Both figures assume 3 captures per day with the supplement light off at 25°C. Either can also run on 5 V/1 A USB Type-C.
Is it rated for outdoor use?
No. Ingress protection is IP30 and the operating range is 0°C to 50°C, so it needs an indoor or sheltered position. It mounts on any universal 1/4-20UNC camera bracket.
