Milesight AM102L Indoor Ambience Monitoring Sensor
Authorised Milesight UK Distributor£38.90 ex VAT (£46.68 inc. VAT)
2-in-1 indoor ambience sensor: temperature and humidity
AM102L is a Milesight LoRaWAN indoor ambience monitoring sensor measuring temperature (-20°C to 60°C, typ. ±0.2°C from 0°C to 60°C) and relative humidity (0% to 100% RH, typ. ±2% RH at 25°C). The decisive difference from the AM102 is the display: the AM102L has no E-Ink screen and is rated for over 9 years of battery life at SF7 on EU868.
DisplayAM102L: Not Support (the AM102 in the same datasheet carries a 2.13-inch black & white E-Ink screen)

Specifications taken from the manufacturer datasheet.
Which version do I need?
The datasheet covers two models. AM102 has the 2.13-inch black & white E-Ink screen; AM102L does not, and the datasheet quotes a longer battery life for the AM102L (over 9 years at SF7 vs over 7 years for the AM102). Frequency variants listed are CN470/IN865/RU864/EU868/US915/AU915/KR920/AS923-1&2&3&4; the -868M suffix on this SKU is the EU868 band, which is the correct LoRaWAN band for the UK. Tx power at 868 MHz is 16 dBm.
Typical applications for the AM102L-868M
- Office ambience and comfort monitoring
- Retail store environment monitoring
- Classroom temperature and humidity monitoring
- Hospital and healthcare room monitoring
- Multi-room LoRaWAN monitoring where readings are viewed on a dashboard rather than on the device
Buying guides for this product
Frequency band
Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.
The same AM102L-868M unit also covers IN865 and RU864. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.
CN470, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.
Not sure which band applies where? The Things Network publishes the LoRaWAN frequency plan for every country.

AM102L-868M — frequently asked questions
Does the AM102L have a display?
No. The datasheet's Display row reads "AM102: 2.13-inch Black & White E-Ink Screen / AM102L: Not Support". Readings are transmitted over LoRaWAN rather than shown locally, so the AM102L suits sites where the data is consumed on a dashboard or network server. Choose the AM102 if an on-wall screen is needed.
How long do the batteries last?
The AM102L runs on 2 × 2700 mAh ER14505 Li-SOCl2 replaceable batteries. At a 10 minute reporting interval and 25°C the datasheet quotes over 9 years at SF7 (EU868 & US915), around 5.2 years at SF10 (EU868) and around 2.4 years at SF10 (US915). Milesight notes these figures are laboratory-tested and for guideline purposes only.
How accurate are the temperature and humidity readings?
Both use Sensirion digital CMOSens® (MEMS) sensing. Temperature covers -20°C to 60°C with typical accuracy ±0.3°C from -20°C to 0°C and ±0.2°C from 0°C to 60°C, at 0.1°C resolution. Humidity covers 0% to 100% RH with typical accuracy ±2% RH at 25°C, at 0.5% RH resolution.
Which LoRaWAN frequency should I order for the UK?
EU868 — the AM102L-868M variant. The datasheet lists CN470/IN865/RU864/EU868/US915/AU915/KR920/AS923-1&2&3&4 as available bands. On 868 MHz the Tx power is 16 dBm, receive sensitivity is -137 dBm at 300 bps, and the device joins as OTAA or ABP Class A on any standard LoRaWAN gateway and network server.
How is a screenless AM102L set up and mounted?
Configuration is by the Milesight mobile app over NFC or by LoRaWAN downlink; the unit is powered on and off from the app via NFC or with the power/reset button, and a single status LED indicates state. It is IP30 rated for indoor use, measures 68 × 65 × 20.5 mm, and mounts to a wall with 3M tape or screws.
How much does the Milesight AM102L Indoor Ambience Monitoring Sensor cost in the UK?
The Milesight AM102L Indoor Ambience Monitoring Sensor is £38.90 ex VAT from Indiott, a UK distributor. The price is published rather than quote-only, and we invoice with VAT (PSI Technologies Ltd, VAT GB 730 2340 83). UK delivery is a flat £14.25 per order ex VAT, whatever the weight.
What is the lead time and delivery cost for the Milesight AM102L Indoor Ambience Monitoring Sensor?
