Milesight EM300-SLD Spot Leak Detection Sensor
Authorised Milesight UK Distributor£53.87 ex VAT (£64.64 inc. VAT)
EM300-SLD is a LoRaWAN spot leak detector: a stainless steel probe on a 1.5 m cable that raises an alarm when conducting liquid reaches 5 mm depth at the probe — the decisive spec. It also reports temperature from -30°C to +70°C and humidity from 0% to 100% RH, is IP67 rated, and runs over 10 years on one 4000 mAh battery at SF7.

Description
EM300-SLD is a compact spot leakage detection sensor for detecting presence of water (or other liquids) and transmitting alarm using LoRaWAN® technology.
With this low power consumption technology, EM300-SLD can work up to 5 years with 4000 mAh battery. Combining with Milesight LoRaWAN® gateway and Milesight IoT Cloud solution, users can manage all sensor data remotely and visually and receive alarms via mobile APP.
EM300-SLD also integrates temperature and humidity sensors, which has a great use for applications such as pipe leakage monitoring, basement flooding, pump failure, etc.
• Features
• Detect the presence of liquids by a small water probe and based on the conductive principle
• Embedded with temperature and humidity sensors for environment monitoring
• Ultra-wide-distance transmission up to line of sight of 10km
• IP67 UV-resistant and waterproof enclosure for harsh environment applications
• Built-in 4000 mAh replaceable battery and works for more than 5 years without replacement
• Store locally 3, 000 historical records and support retransmission to prevent data loss

Buying guides for this product
Frequency band
Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.
The same EM300-SLD-868M unit also covers IN865 and RU864. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.
CN470, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.
Not sure which band applies where? The Things Network publishes the LoRaWAN frequency plan for every country.

EM300-SLD-868M — frequently asked questions
How much water does it take to trigger an alarm?
The probe triggers when the liquid level reaches 5 mm. It detects water and other conducting liquids on the conductive principle.
How long is the probe cable?
1.5 m as standard, and the datasheet states the cable length is customizable. The probe itself is stainless steel 316 and mounts by wall screw or 3M tape.
Does it measure anything besides leaks?
Yes. It has embedded temperature and humidity sensors: -30°C to +70°C at ±0.3°C (0°C to +70°C) and ±0.6°C (-30°C to 0°C), and 0% to 100% RH at ±3% between 10% and 90% RH.
What battery does it use and how long does it last?
One 4000 mAh ER18505 Li-SOCl2 battery, with an optional 8000 mAh version. The datasheet quotes over 10 years at SF7 on EU868 and around 5.6 years at SF10 on EU868, tested at a 10-minute interval plus 24 triggers per day.
Is it rated for harsh or wet environments?
Yes. The enclosure is IP67, UV-resistant and waterproof, with an operating range of -30°C to +70°C and 0-100% relative humidity, non-condensing.
