Description
EM300-TH is a compact environment monitoring sensor for measurement of temperature and humidity and transmitting data using LoRaWAN® technology.
With this low power consumption technology, EM300-TH can work up to 5 years with 4000 mAh battery.
Combining with Milesight LoRaWAN® gateway and Milesight IoT Cloud solution, users can manage all sensor data remotely and visually. EM300-TH is widely used for both indoor and outdoor applications such as offices, hospitals, factories, greenhouses, etc.

Which version do I need?
-868M is the EU868 band, which is the version a UK network needs. The datasheet also lists an optional 8000 mAh battery version in place of the standard 4000 mAh cell.

Frequency band
Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.
The same EM300-TH-868M unit also covers IN865 and RU864. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.
CN470, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.

Temperature -30°C to +70°C at a typical ±0.3°C between 0°C and 70°C and ±0.6°C between -30°C and 0°C, with 0.1°C resolution. Humidity 0% to 100% RH at a typical ±3% between 10% and 90% RH, with 0.5% RH resolution.
What battery does it use and how long does it last?
One 4000 mAh ER18505 Li-SOCl2 battery, with an 8000 mAh version optional. The datasheet quotes over 10 years at SF7 on EU868 and around 5.8 years at SF10 on EU868, at a 10-minute interval and 25°C.
Can it be installed outdoors?
Yes. The enclosure is IP67, UV-resistant and waterproof, rated -30°C to +70°C and 0-100% relative humidity, non-condensing.
Does it need a gateway?
It is compliant with standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers in OTAA/ABP Class A. It also acts as a Milesight D2D controller, so it can trigger another Milesight device directly without a gateway.
What happens to readings if the network drops out?
It stores 2,800 entries locally and supports data retransmission and data retrievability, so readings taken during an outage are not lost.
