Description

The ATOP AWR5805 is an industrial Wi-Fi access point and mesh router built to extend wireless coverage across large or demanding sites. It delivers high-speed wireless connectivity with load balancing and layered security, letting you scale up plant-floor, warehouse and outdoor networks that ordinary commercial access points cannot survive. High EMC protection and wide-temperature operation keep it reliable in industrial environments, and advanced configuration options give network engineers fine control over coverage, roaming and traffic. Typical UK applications include manufacturing, logistics yards, utilities and campus deployments where robust wireless is critical. Which version do I need?

This page covers the AWR5805 series. ATOP's brochure lists two versions: AWR5805 with 4 × non-PoE LAN ports and AWR5805P with 4 × PoE LAN ports; both have one Gigabit WAN port, dual-band 802.11ac with 2×2 MU-MIMO and mesh. Pick the P version if you want to power LAN devices from the router. For a 4G/5G cellular WAN with dual SIM and WAN failover, choose the CWR5805 instead. Five 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) RJ45 ports: one WAN and four LAN. The standard AWR5805 LAN ports are non-PoE; the AWR5805P has four PoE LAN ports.

How does the Wi-Fi mesh work?

Each mesh node acts as an end device or a forwarding node, so if one node fails or goes out of range the others route traffic through a different path. The AWR5805 can act as the Wi-Fi router or as a router satellite in the mesh.
