Authorised Milesight UK Distributor£41.90 ex VAT (£50.28 inc. VAT)
WS302 is a LoRaWAN sound level sensor with an integrated microphone for indoor noise monitoring. It measures 30 dBA to 120 dBA (35 dBC to 120 dBC) — the decisive spec — to ±3 dB with 0.1 dB resolution across a 30 Hz to 8 kHz band, and reports actual SPL, Leq and Lmax. Two replaceable AA lithium cells give around 5 years.
Sound level measuring range30 dBA to 120 dBA, 35 dBC to 120 dBC

Buying guides for this product
Frequency band
Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.
The same WS302-868M unit also covers IN865 and RU864. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.
CN470, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.
Not sure which band applies where? The Things Network publishes the LoRaWAN frequency plan for every country.

WS302-868M — frequently asked questions
What noise range can it measure?
30 dBA to 120 dBA and 35 dBC to 120 dBC, with an accuracy of ±3 dB between 0°C and +45°C and a resolution of 0.1 dB. The microphone frequency range is 30 Hz to 8 kHz.
Does it support A and C weighting?
Yes. A and C frequency weighting are software switchable, and fast time weighting is supported.
Which values does it report?
SPL actual, Leq (equivalent continuous level) and Lmax, so you can log both instantaneous and averaged noise levels.
What battery does it use and how long does it last?
Two 2700 mAh ER14505 Li-SOCl2 replaceable batteries. With fast time weighting disabled the datasheet quotes around 5 years at SF7 on EU868 and around 3.3 years at SF10; with fast time weighting enabled it drops to around 1.7 years at SF7 and around 1.5 years at SF10 (10-minute interval, 25°C).
Can it be installed outdoors?
It is rated IP30, so it is intended for indoor installation. The operating range is -20°C to +60°C at ≤95% relative humidity, non-condensing, and it mounts on flat surfaces with screws or 3M tape.
