Description
The EHG7307 is a 7 Port PoE Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switches designed to work in mission critical environments such as mining and heavy industry. EHG7307 series support maximum 5 x 10/100/1000 Base-T(X) RJ45 ports, 1 x 100/1000 Base-F(x) SFP port and 1 x 1000 Base-X SFP port. With its high performance and non-blocking switching capacity, the EHG7300 Series is able to fulfill the increasing demand in industrial networking. Its PoE capability of 30W per port up to four ports simplifies the wiring in complex fields, where every cable is an added cost. The equipped terminal block provide dual redundant power inputs with Reverse Polarity Protection and relay output which allows field engineers to build up a fault alarm system. Its IP30 housing protection, wide operating temperature of -40 to 70°C and DIN-Rail mounting capacities are liable to do most industrial field applications.

Which version do I need?
The EHG7307 is ordered in two forms. EHG7307-2SFP (part 1P1EHG73070003G) is 5 x 1G RJ45 plus 2 x 100/1G SFP with no PoE. EHG7307-4PoE-2SFP (part 1P1EHG73070002G) adds 4 PoE ports to the same layout — choose this one if the switch has to power cameras, access points or other PD devices. Within the wider series, EHG7305 has no SFP slot and EHG7306 has one; the 1000BASE-X SFP is only supported on the EHG7307. Wall mounting uses kit WMK-454-Black.
Typical applications for the EHG7307
- Mining and heavy industry networks
- Railway rolling stock and trackside equipment (EN50155 / EN50121-4)
- PROFINET and industrial automation networks needing 802.1Q/p packet prioritisation
- Powering IP cameras and access points over PoE where cable runs are costly
- Hazardous-area cabinets requiring UL Class I Div 2 / ATEX Zone 2 equipment
- Fibre-linked DIN-rail cabinets needing two SFP uplinks per node

EHG7307 — frequently asked questions
How many SFP fibre ports does the EHG7307 have, and at what speed?
Two. SFP1 runs at 1000 Mbps and SFP2 at 100/1000 Mbps. The 1000BASE-X SFP is only supported on the EHG7307 within the EHG7305/7306/7307 series — the EHG7306 has one 100/1000 SFP and the EHG7305 has none.
How many PoE ports does it have and how much power do they deliver?
Up to 4 ports, compliant with IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at, at 30 W per port. Maximum system power consumption with PoE is 130 W, drawing 2.6 A at 51 V. Note that 802.3af output starts from a 43 VDC input and 802.3at output starts from 51 VDC, so the DC supply has to be sized accordingly.
Is the EHG7307 a managed switch?
No. ATOP describes it as an Industrial PoE Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch. It is store-and-forward with an 8096-entry MAC table, 10K jumbo frames, 802.1Q/p QoS for prioritising traffic such as PROFINET packets, 802.3x flow control and LLDP forwarding, but there is no configuration interface.
Is it approved for railway and trackside use?
Yes. The datasheet states the EHG7305/7306/7307 series is fully EN50155 certified and complies with EN50121-1, EN50121-3-2 and EN50121-4 for ground equipment. Shock, drop and vibration are tested to MIL-STD-810G (2014) and it is certified for 4000 m altitude.
Can it be installed outdoors?
The housing is rated IP30 according to EN 60529 — dust protection only, with no water-ingress rating quoted. It is DIN-rail or optional wall mounted and rated -40°C to 70°C with 5%~95% non-condensing humidity at 55°C, so it is intended for mounting inside a cabinet or enclosure.
What power input does it need, and does it support redundancy?
12-52 VDC via a terminal block, with dual redundant power inputs and reverse polarity protection. There is a 24 V / 0.5 A relay output for building a fault alarm system, and PWR1, PWR2 and Alarm LEDs on the front. ATOP lists SDR-75-24 and SDR-240-48 DIN-rail supplies as accessories.
