Specifications taken from the manufacturer datasheet.
Which version do I need?
The UR35 is modular, and the datasheet flags three build options: GNSS is optional by region (a GPS antenna ships only with the GPS version), Wi-Fi is a version-specific option (a Wi-Fi antenna ships only with the Wi-Fi version), and PoE PSE on the four LAN ports is optional. Specify which of these you need at order, and remember PoE output requires a 48 VDC supply.
Typical applications for the UR35
- Remote site 4G backhaul for M2M and IoT
- Industrial automation with Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP bridging
- Failover WAN for fixed-line connections
- Powering 802.3af/at PoE devices at remote sites (PoE build)
- DIN rail cabinet installations in unheated environments
- Python SDK-based secondary development at the edge

UR35 — frequently asked questions
How fast is the UR35's cellular connection?
It uses LTE Cat 4, giving a maximum 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps uplink over 4G LTE, WCDMA or GSM (bands differ by region). Two Mini SIM (2FF) slots allow automated failover and failback between carriers.
Are the Ethernet ports gigabit?
No. There are five RJ45 ports at 10/100 Mbps, arranged as 1 WAN and 4 LAN, auto-sensing full or half duplex, with 1.5 kV RMS isolation. If you need Gigabit ports, that is the UR75.
Can the UR35 power PoE devices?
Only on the optional PoE build. When fitted, the four LAN ports act as 802.3af/at PoE PSE with 30 W maximum per port and 60 W total, and the router itself must be fed 48 VDC.
Which VPN types does it support?
OpenVPN, IPsec, GRE, L2TP, PPTP, DMVPN, WireGuard and ZeroTier, alongside AAA (Radius, TACACS+, LDAP, local authentication, 802.1x) and multiple levels of user authority.
What temperature range is it rated for?
-40°C to +70°C operating, with a datasheet note of reduced cellular performance above 60°C, and -40°C to +85°C storage at 0-95% RH non-condensing. The metal enclosure is IP30, so it belongs in a cabinet or indoors.
