2-in-1 indoor air quality sensor: temperature (-20 to 60 C, +/-0.2 C) and humidity (0-100% RH)
AM102 is a Milesight LoRaWAN indoor ambience monitoring sensor measuring temperature (-20°C to 60°C, typ. ±0.2°C from 0°C to 60°C) and relative humidity (0-100% RH, typ. ±2% RH). The decisive difference from the AM102L is the display: the AM102 has a 2.13-inch black and white E-Ink screen, which the AM102L does not support. It runs over 7 years on two replaceable ER14505 batteries at SF7, EU868.

Which version do I need?
The -868M suffix is the EU868 frequency band, which is the correct LoRaWAN band for UK deployments; the datasheet also lists CN470, IN865, RU864, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923-1&2&3&4 variants. The "L" suffix (AM102L) denotes the screenless version of the same sensor.
Typical applications for the AM102-868M
- Office indoor climate and comfort monitoring
- Retail store environment monitoring
- Classroom temperature and humidity monitoring
- Hospital and healthcare room monitoring
- Workplace comfort compliance reporting
- Building management system LoRaWAN sensing
Buying guides for this product
Frequency band
Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.
The same AM102-868M unit also covers IN865 and RU864. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.
CN470, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.
Not sure which band applies where? The Things Network publishes the LoRaWAN frequency plan for every country.

AM102-868M — frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the AM102 and the AM102L?
The display. The AM102 has a 2.13-inch black and white E-Ink screen showing readings in real time; the datasheet lists the AM102L as "Not Support" for display. The screenless AM102L lasts longer on the same batteries (over 9 years at SF7, EU868 & US915, versus over 7 years for the AM102).
How long does the AM102 run on batteries?
With a 10-minute reporting interval at 25°C, over 7 years at SF7 on EU868 and US915, around 4.2 years at SF10 on EU868, and around 2.2 years at SF10 on US915. Power is two 2700 mAh ER14505 Li-SOCl2 replaceable batteries. Milesight notes battery life is tested under laboratory conditions and is for guideline purposes only.
What temperature and humidity does the AM102 measure, and how accurately?
Temperature from -20°C to 60°C at 0.1°C resolution, typ. ±0.3°C between -20°C and 0°C and ±0.2°C between 0°C and 60°C. Humidity from 0% RH to 100% RH at 0.5% RH resolution, typ. ±2% RH at 25°C. Both use Sensirion digital CMOSens (MEMS) sensing.
How is the AM102 configured and powered on?
Configuration is by mobile app over NFC or by LoRaWAN downlink. Power on/off is by mobile app via NFC or by the power/reset button. It joins standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers in OTAA or ABP Class A.
Can the AM102 be installed outdoors or in a plant room?
No. It is rated IP30 with an operating range of -20°C to 60°C at 0-95% RH non-condensing, and the E-Ink screen itself is only rated 0°C to 40°C. It is an indoor device, wall-mounted with 3M tape or screws.
Does the AM102 keep data if the network drops?
Yes. It stores 1,280 entries locally and supports data retrievability and data retransmission, so records can be recovered rather than lost during a gateway or network outage.
How much does the Milesight AM102 Indoor Ambience Monitoring Sensor cost in the UK?
The Milesight AM102 Indoor Ambience Monitoring Sensor is £47.88 ex VAT from Indiott, a UK distributor. The price is published rather than quote-only, and we invoice with VAT (PSI Technologies Ltd, VAT GB 730 2340 83). UK delivery is a flat £14.25 per order ex VAT, whatever the weight.
