5-in-1 indoor ambience sensor: temperature, humidity, light, PIR/motion and CO2
AM305L is a LoRaWAN indoor ambience monitoring sensor measuring temperature, humidity, light, motion and CO2. Its decisive spec is the NDIR CO2 sensor, 400 ~ 5000 ppm, ±(30 ppm + 3 % of reading), which the AM304L lacks. Unlike the AM307 and AM308, the AM305L has no E-ink display, no TVOC, pressure or PM sensors, and adds Milesight D2D.
Sensor set (Ordering Information)Temperature, Humidity, Light, Motion, CO2 — with no E-ink display, and no TVOC, barometric pressure or PM2.5/PM10 sensors

Specifications taken from the manufacturer datasheet.
Which version do I need?
The -868M suffix denotes the EU868 band, which is the correct LoRaWAN frequency for UK deployment; the datasheet lists CN470/RU864/IN865/EU868/US915/AU915/KR920/AS923-1&2&3&4, with 16dBm Tx power at 868MHz. Within this family the "L" suffix marks the screenless variants: AM304L, AM305L and AM308L have no display, while AM307 and AM308 carry the 4.2-inch E-ink screen.
Typical applications for the AM305L-868M
- Office ambience and comfort monitoring
- Retail stores
- Classrooms and education spaces
- Hospitals and healthcare rooms
- Indoor CO2 and occupancy (PIR) monitoring
Buying guides for this product
Frequency band
Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.
The same AM305L-868M unit also covers RU864 and IN865. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.
CN470, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.
Not sure which band applies where? The Things Network publishes the LoRaWAN frequency plan for every country.

AM305L-868M — frequently asked questions
Does the AM305L have a screen?
No. The datasheet's Display row states "AM307 & AM308: 4.2-inch Black & White E-Ink Screen" and "AM304L & AM305L & AM308L: Not Support". The AM305L reports over LoRaWAN and shows status locally through its single traffic-light status indicator.
What is the AM305L's CO2 measuring range and accuracy?
400 ~ 5000 ppm using a nondispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor, with accuracy ± (30 ppm + 3 % of reading) between 0°C ~ 50°C and 0% to 85% RH, and 1 ppm resolution.
What is the difference between the AM305L and the AM304L?
The Ordering Information table lists AM304L as Temperature, Humidity, Light, Motion; AM305L is Temperature, Humidity, Light, Motion, CO2. The CO2 sensor is the only sensor difference — both share Milesight D2D, 4320-entry data storage and no display.
How long do the batteries last on EU868?
With 4 × 2700 mAh ER14505 Li-SOCl2 replaceable batteries at a 10-minute interval and 25°C, around 11 years at SF7 (EU868 & US915) and around 6.3 years at SF10 (EU868). It can also be powered continuously from 5V/1A over the Type-C port.
Does the AM305L support Milesight D2D and the Milesight IoT Cloud?
It supports Milesight D2D — the datasheet lists "LoRaWAN®, Milesight D2D" for AM304L and AM305L, with D2D Data Transmission and D2D Controller as advanced features, giving direct control without a gateway. Milesight IoT Cloud integration, however, is listed for AM307 & AM308(L) only; the AM305L is managed via the Milesight Development Platform.
How much does the Milesight AM305L Indoor Ambience Monitoring Sensor cost in the UK?
The Milesight AM305L Indoor Ambience Monitoring Sensor is £172.08 ex VAT from Indiott, a UK distributor. The price is published rather than quote-only, and we invoice with VAT (PSI Technologies Ltd, VAT GB 730 2340 83). UK delivery is a flat £14.25 per order ex VAT, whatever the weight.
