The VS350 is an exceptional indoor passage people counter that detects and analyzes the flow of people, allowing for optimum space management and usage.
Equipped with dual PIR sensors, it offers a high accuracy rate for bi-directional people counting. When combined with the additional temperature sensor, the VS350 can achieve even more potential triggers, increasing its detection capabilities.
As a Milesight D2D controller, the VS350 seamlessly communicates with other Milesight D2D devices, establishing more possible connections and paving the way for smoother operations. With easy configuration and wireless detection, the VS350 facilitates simple deployment and connectivity.
Compliant with the Milesight LoRaWAN® gateway and Milesight IoT Cloud solution, users can know the number of passage people and trigger other sensors or appliances easily via a webpage or mobile App remotely

Which version do I need?
The datasheet lists selectable bands CN470/IN865/RU864/EU868/US915/AU915/KR920/AS923-1&2&3&4. UK and EU LoRaWAN uses EU868, the band this -868M part is supplied on, with 16 dBm transmit power. Quoted battery life differs by band: 9.7 years at SF7/EU868 versus 8.7 years at SF7/US915.

Frequency band
Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.
The same VS350-868M unit also covers IN865 and RU864. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.
CN470, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.

What is the widest doorway the VS350 can cover?
Ceiling-mounted at 3 m it covers a 3.1 m passage width. The datasheet table scales it with height: 2.5 m width at 2.4 m, 2.1 m at 2.2 m and 1.85 m at 2.0 m. Wall-mounted at 1.2-1.3 m it covers passages under 2.3 m.
Does it record video or images?
No. It counts using dual PIR sensors only. Milesight states 100% anonymity and GDPR compliance without image capturing.
How long do the batteries last?
It uses two replaceable 2700 mAh ER14505 Li-SOCl2 cells. Milesight quotes around 9.7 years at SF7/EU868 and 5.2 years at SF10/EU868, at a 10-minute interval, 25°C and 1000 people per day under laboratory conditions.
Can it be used outdoors or in an unheated space?
No. It is IP30 rated with an operating range of -20°C to 60°C, and PIR sensitivity is most effective between 15°C and 30°C, so it is an indoor device.
Does it need a gateway?
For LoRaWAN reporting yes, joining as OTAA/ABP Class A with any standard LoRaWAN gateway and network server. It can also act as a Milesight D2D controller to trigger other Milesight devices directly, without a gateway.
