VS370 is a LoRaWAN® Radar Human Presence Sensor that adopts Millimeter Wave Radar and PIR technology. The sensor can detect human presence or slight movement and provide accurate human mobility statistics. Without any violation of privacy, VS370 has high detection accuracy with remarkable sensitivity, excellent algorithm performance, and
exceptional precision.

As a Milesight D2D controller, the VS370 seamlessly communicates with other Milesight D2D devices, establishing more possible connections and paving the way for smoother operations. It can also be linked with lighting control and HVAC system to achieve an automated scene deployment where the lights, HVAC system and other associated devices turn on when someone enters the room.

With easy configuration and wireless detection, VS370 can be integrated with Milesight LoRaWAN® gateway and Milesight Development Platform, enabling remote and visual management of all sensor data. VS370 can be used in various meeting rooms, conference rooms, and other
spaces requiring monitoring of human presence.

Which version do I need?

The datasheet lists selectable bands CN470/IN865/EU868/RU864/US915/AU915/KR920/AS923-1&2&3&4. UK and EU LoRaWAN uses EU868, the band this -868M part is supplied on, at 16 dBm transmit power.

Frequency band

Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.

The same VS370-868M unit also covers IN865 and RU864. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.

CN470, US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.

How far does the VS370 detect?

The 24 GHz radar detects movement to 7.5 m and slight movement to 4.8 m across a 150° detection angle. The PIR element covers 110° within 7 m.

Will it detect someone sitting still at a desk?

That is what the radar element is for. The datasheet specifies a separate slight-movement detection distance of 4.8 m, and quotes a recognition rate of up to 99% for human presence or slight movement.

What are the temperature limits?

Operating temperature is 0°C to 30°C at 0-95% RH non-condensing, with IP30 ingress protection, so it is intended for conditioned indoor spaces only.

What batteries does it use and how long do they last?

Two 2700 mAh ER14505 Li-SOCl2 batteries. Milesight quotes around 6.7 years at SF7 on EU868 and US915, and around 5.3 years at SF10/EU868, based on 50 triggers per day at 25°C under laboratory conditions.

How is it mounted and can the angle be adjusted?

It wall-mounts on a detachable, movable magnetic bracket that adds a 30° deflection angle to achieve full area coverage. Body and bracket together weigh under 130 g.
