Description
WT201 is a LoRaWAN® thermostat used as a HVAC controller supporting a wide range of different heating and cooling systems, including heat pumps, AC, boilers, furnaces, AHU, and PTAC devices. WT201 smart thermostat provides multiple modes including heat/cool, emergent heat, auto, and fan mode, enabling precise temperature adjustments in buildings. It allows for automatic control through scheduled programming and remote management via cloud system.
Real-time monitoring ensures timely alerts for sudden temperature changes, prioritizing people’s safety and protecting assets. Additionally, it has the capability to store up to 1000 pieces of data, providing ample data security. With 4.2’’
LCD screen and embedded temperature sensor, the WT201 continuously displays the room status while monitoring the ambient temperature and humidity. It also accommodates different time zones and summer/winter time, catering to users in various regions. Moreover, the thermostat seamlessly integrates with hotel room card systems, allowing for convenient remote management.
Compliant with Milesight LoRaWAN® gateway and Milesight IoT Cloud solution, users can control the room temperature as well as triggering other
sensors or appliances easily via webpage or mobile App remotely and D2D protocol.

Which version do I need?
-868M is the EU868 band required for UK LoRaWAN. The datasheet is a shared WT201/WT211 document: WT211 is the same thermostat with higher-rated relays and supply — 24VAC at typically 1A, maximum 3A per channel and 5A total — against WT201's typical 150mA and 1A maximum. Choose WT211 only if the HVAC equipment draws more than the WT201 relay rating.

Frequency band
Supplied on EU868, the LoRaWAN band used in the UK and across Europe. That is the default and you do not need to ask for it — the -868M in the part number is the EU868 build.
The same WT201-868M unit also covers IN865 and RU864. Those bands share the 863–870 MHz radio with EU868, so one device can be set to any of them in its own configuration — no different part number needed.
US915, AU915, KR920 and AS923 are a different radio and therefore a different build. Milesight makes them and we can order them: tell us where the devices are being deployed and we will confirm the part number, price and lead time.

Will it work with my heating and cooling system?
It supports most 24VAC HVAC systems, including furnaces and air conditioners (2H/2C), heat pumps (4H/2C or 3H/2C plus one stage of AUX heat), boilers and PTAC units. Wire terminals provided are RC, RH, C, W1, W2/AUX, E, Y1, Y2/GL, G/GH, O/B, PEK, DI and GND.
What is the difference between WT201 and WT211?
The relay and supply rating. WT201 is 24VAC at typically 150mA with a 1A maximum; WT211 is 24VAC at typically 1A with a maximum of 3A per channel and 5A total. Everything else in the datasheet is common to both.
Does it run on batteries?
No. It is powered from 24VAC (±15%) and consumes less than 1.2W. A built-in RTC keeps the time correct for 72 hours even without power supply.
Does it need a LoRaWAN gateway?
It works with standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers in OTAA/ABP Class C, and is compatible with BACnet systems via Milesight LoRaWAN gateways. It also supports the Milesight D2D protocol for low-latency control without a gateway.
Can it be used in hotel rooms?
Yes. It has one dry-contact digital input for keycard and magnet switches, is compatible with hotel room card systems for remote management, and offers a child lock plus anti-theft installation.
