How do wireless door sensors attach to fire doors?

Adhesive pads or two screws, sensor on the frame and magnet on the leaf — no drilling through the door core, so the door’s fire integrity and certification are untouched. Installation is a two-minute job per door during any routine visit.

What battery life should we expect on a busy door?

Years even on high-traffic doors — each open/close event is a tiny transmission. The sensor reports its own battery level, so replacement is a planned maintenance line, not a surprise gap in your compliance record.

Can they integrate with our intruder alarm or BMS?

They run alongside rather than inside it: events flow to dashboards and out via webhooks, MQTT or API to whatever should react — a Teams channel, the CAFM system, or a security workflow. That separation is a feature: no alarm-panel engineering, no BMS points, live in a day.

Do they work on roller shutters and up-and-over doors?

Yes — use the EM300-MCS for shutters with its wider gap tolerance, or the tilt sensor on the curtain or arm where geometry defeats a contact pair. Between the two, there are few openings on an industrial site that cannot be monitored.
